Appearance: hazy butterscotch with a thick white head shrinking to a fat cap. Aroma: honey, booze, peaches, orange zest, white pepper, and a hint of musty basement. Taste: champagne, vanilla, orange, apricots, honey. Finish: boozy, with lingering sweet, orchardy fruits. Notes: BIG beer, with a thick, chewy, boozy, sweet, fruity action. I like my tripels with a little more lightness in the palate and a little bit drier of a finish, but this was still darn good. Bottle from the Rare Beer Club.

Fashawn (190) - Montesarchio, ITALY - OCT 17, 2014
In bocca è molto possente, quasi piena. Buonissima, birra unica. Migliore triple mai bevuta

From a 75 cl bottle shared in Avon NC. Pours a hazy gold with a thick white head. Slightly funky nose. Flavors of bubblegum. Tart finish.

[5557-20130628] 750mL bottle. Light leafy spiced bread yeast aroma. Hazy, light orange brown body with a long-lasting off-white head and thick lattice lacing. Boozy toasted yeast flavour has a light fruity zing in the finish. Medium body. Good. (7/4/8/4-/15) 3.8

Lore (1224) - Budapest, HUNGARY - AUG 31, 2014
cloudy pale yellow colour, huge, not too dense, but still stable white head; aroma of alcohol, fruits (apple and peach),caramel notes and yeast;taste of malty sweetness, fruity notes, some moderate bitterness and spicy alcohol...a bit too intensive alcohol (as it is usual in case of Bush/Scaldis beers)

Bottle courtesy of a friend. Poured a cloudy light amber with a huge frothy white head. The aroma is big yeast, boozy alcohol, light caramel. The flavour is medium sweet with a sweet malt alcoholic bitter palate with a frothy mouthfeel. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Alengrin (2464) - BELGIUM - AUG 8, 2014
Refermented version of Bush Blonde celebrating the 75th anniversary of the brand in 2008, only on 75 cl, like its amber counterpart. Sticky, snow white, creamy, relatively thick foam, colour a deep peach blonde, clearly darker than the regular version, misty. Aroma of mango, honey, apricot, orange, caramel, cognac; taste sweetish in onset, bit of candi or honey, orange peel touch gives some freshness, then honeyish and caramel maltiness, sweetish, finishing dry with aromatic hops and lots of warming alcohol which becomes a bit astringent in the end. Yeastier, softer and more well-rounded than the regular version.

probstblueribbon (3067) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 5, 2014
750 ml bottle from LCBO(?), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Deep golden with TONS of large yeast flakes and a small white head. Aroma: Richly malty, sweet, warm, spicy, lightly estery, boozy, a little old apple juice, faintly buttery? Palate: Medium+ body with full, creamy effervescence. Flav.: Quite estery, spicy, citrus and alcohol, nice malt character, more booze; sweet with low bitterness and a long, very boozy finish that has citrus and light spiciness.

Pretty good/typical for a Tripel. Ugly though...

Une classique blonde triple belge. Jolie couleur dorée. Arômes d'épices en bouche. On sent beaucoup l'alcool.
