I don’t know that this is a dunkel, Bushwakker has a dunkel as well. Anways, it’s got a roasted malt and caramel aroma. Pretty mild roasted malt aroma. Not their best offering, but very drinkable.

On tap. Listed here as a Dunkel and the bartender suggested it was a Vienna. Closer to a Nut Brown Ale with a little of the darker malt body I pick up in a Dunkle. Body is almost oily as it slides across your palate with only subtle taste at first. Very brown beer with a lite head. Dark malt scent. Quick finish.

Bottle from paco, thanks Sean! Medium amber, lightly hazy, nice big beige tightly formed head. Aroma is bready caramel, flavour is the same with nice nutty undertones. Light to medium bodied, simple but tasty flavours. Pretty classic little dunkel here. Nice.

650 ml bomber Pour puts a dark copper-brown lager in the glass with a 2 finger sticky off-white cap which had fair retention and lacing qualities. Aroma is classic American Dark...no malts but rich roasty tones, light caramel sweetness, hint of coffee, good dose of herbal Hersbrucker hops. Moderately crisp mouth feel, roasty light herbal character medium body, good malt spine, very drinkable. Flavor profile: Front side dominated by roasted malts light cramel sweetness, mid palate the light coffee-cocoa-roast melonins mingle with the herbal hops...finish semi dry with mostly toasty sweet malts giving way to the herbal light buttering....bready afterteaste. A very good dunkle although not a Munish dunkle this is more in the American style which tends to be a tad more hoppy and crisp than the Munish darks. The heavier noble hopping is out of style guidelines but I like it as I’m a sucker for good fresh noble hop flavors. One of the top 3 dunkels in Canada.

Light roast in the nutty, malt forward aroma. Clear brown body topped by low off white head that recedes rapidly to ring. Lightly fruity flavour has decent supporting toasty, bready malt base. Light finishing bitterness. Medium body with smooth texture and moderate carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub before the Als/Riders game.

Sweet aroma, almost cola like. Hints of caramel and nut as well.Poured a roasted amber colour with a small white head. Sweet flavour, malty, slight bitterness. Nutty aftertaste.

This poured a deep amber and the first sip revelaed a lot of hops, similar in flavour almost to Rogue Dead Guy. That quickly gave way to a nice caramel maltiness as it warmed. Nice bitterness on the finish, I found it perhaps a little over-carbonated.

(650ml bottle) Pours a yellowish-beige, thin frothy head and a mahogany body. Nose purely of roasted malt. Thin, very bitter and malt flavour. Bitter hop and fizzy finish. My least-favourite offering from this brewery.
