Bottle from November 8 2008. Pours nearly solid black with the tiniest of red hues towards bottom. Head settles with a mocha colored head islanding in the middle, also hugging the glass. Aroma of fresh coffee house beans. Some sweetness to balance out the coffee aromas. Medium bodied. Medium mouthfeel, maybe towards watery. Strong dark roast coffee to start the flavors. A strong espresso bite follows. Mild roasted coffee aftertaste, I would have loved this to be stronger.

(Draught) Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival 2008 in Victoria, September 7. A nice coffee base in the aroma with a good strong flavour and a raw finish. Very good. A tad thin. 7/4/7/3/14

Black with a thin head. Aroma is espresso, chocolate, light smoke. Taste is roasty with caramel, and chocolate.
