Bottle. Poured into a Pilsner style glass. Golden yellow with a fair sized white cap. Aromas of hops, and crisp grassy notes. I get some sweet malty aromas as well. Taste is crisp and clean. Good amount of hops and plenty of malt. Aftertaste of wheat.

Tap. Thick white head on hazy dark yellow. Dark pepper hop scent. Aggressive almost off hop bit on the palate. Flavour grows on you and Smooths out through the glass.

(Draught) Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival 2008 in Victoria, September 7. Pours a clear, deep golden body with a lasting white frothy head. Very strong and bready malt. Mild bitterness. Good. 7/3/6/3/13

Bottled sample via paco. Light gold in colour with moderate yet prickly carbonation. Aromas of green grassy and hay like hops, along with a mild grainy note. More Saaz and some green German hop notes upfront in the mouth, along with more grainy malts. Dries out with a nice dry biscuit finsih. Solid bitterness. The hops come through a touch too vegetal, and the malts a touch too grainy, but overall this is a pretty damn good North American take on the Bohemian pilsner style.

Mild buttery note to the grassy, lightly spicy and grainy aroma. Clear, deep, golden body is topped by a dense, fine bubbled, long lasting white head. Biscuity malts with a touch of butter and a crisp, assertive bitterness. Medium body with moderate carbonation. 2L PET bottle purchased at the brewpub.
