3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brew pub. Pours rich amber with smaller and great lacing. I found the aroma to be mild with notes of bread, toast and some citrus. Taste is cereal, mild citrus fruit with a nice balanced hop bitter finish. Mid taste sweetness. Nice easy drinking ESB.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap. Iíve had this a number of times, but this particular time is from a keg I had filled at the pub. The aroma is far hoppier than I remember, with almost a wet hop smell though obviously it isnt. Very dank smelling. Citrus and spices. Iím not sure if theyíve adjusted the recipe but itís not at all like I remember... itís better.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, trade from paco. Thanks Sean! Bright hazy orange, medium golden head. Aroma is terrific-- surprisingly hoppy, peachy and leafy with undertones of toasted coconut. I know that sounds weird, but Iím drinking this right now, and there is definitely a coconut nuance in the aroma. Cool! Flavour is juicy hops layered over toasty malts, with earthy undertones suggestive of marijuana. I fucking love when my beer tastes like pot! Finish is surprisingly bitter, far beyond the proclaimed 32 IBUs. Such a good beer! A definite standout for the style, even if it leans toward American instead of British. Thanks again sean!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Bushwakkers. Pours clear amber, 1-finger white head, fine lacing. Nose is spicy citrus hops, and some serious caramel. Great bitterness in the mouth, with some noticeable "fresh hop" character, as well as appropriate and balancing sweetness. Solid.

I love this bar, but the only notes I have are the numbers, which is unfortunate....

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thx paco for another BW brew. Poured out a soft amber brew with a small bright white crown that sticks to the edges quite well. My nose is greeted with the rich aromas of sweet caramel, cookie dough, biscuit and an orangy citrus note. BIG flavour and a stiff bitter kick to the guts. Rich caramel and lots of malts start this up. The bitterness and spice that hits half way through on the first (and every other sip) sip are pretty potent and a total surprise to me. Orange, spices, other citrus and a strong bitterness really make this a fine brew - lots of waves of flavour and change in every sip. Plenty of malts and a bit of grain. Long lasting bitterness and related spice eats up most of the aftertaste. Canít rate it much higher but it might be the best 3.4 beer Iíve had in a very long time. The more I drink it the more I think that maybe the tart citrus may be too much but it wonít make me enjoy it any less.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy amber color with a medium off-white foamy head with average retention and not much lacing. Aroma of grainy malt and light citrus hops is OK. Taste is dominated by grainy dry malt notes with some bitter citrus notes. Body is quiet full for style with average carbonation. Too dry and not enough hops Ė average at best.

Thanks to paco for this. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber with a white head. Aroma is orange, hops amd malt. Taste fronts a nice full bitterness in the mouthfeel. Orange flavours and piny hoppiness finishes off the taste. Really nice beer.

Trade with chinesehercules. Cloudy dark orange. Nice head. Chewy malt and hops. Hops stay strong in the finish. A hint of alcohol. A bit of dirty brown sugar aftertaste. A soft aggressiveness.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Strong, grassy, green, lightly citrus (lime), catty, hop forward aroma. Underlying malt base is sweet and toasty. Clear, deep copper-blonde body is topped by a low white head that recedes to ring very slowly with good lacing. Strong bitterness is assertive up front with pleasant supporting caramel and biscuity malts. Some notes of cookie dough. Caramel reappears and lingers in the aftertaste. Medium full body is somewhat sticky with moderate carbonation that is lightly prickly. Rather an extreme version of the style but quite tasty. Sampled on tap at the brewpub before the Als/Riders game.
