Disappointed with this one. One of my least favourite at Bushwakker. It has some of the characteristics of an Irish Ale, but kind of subdued..of course some would call that "well balanced". Nevertheless, not my favourite from Bushwakker.

Hazy amber pour with lots of head. Mild honey aroma. Plenty of caramel malt, some honey and a bit of hop bite. Very drinkable.

650ml bottle purchased from the brewery pours amber in color with a small white head and a few spots of lacing. Aroma is light caramel and faint hops. Taste is a little bolder with some caramel malty sweetness and a mild hoppy bitter finish. Body is a little thin and carbonation is better. A decent amber style ale which is easy to drink all evening long.

Tap. Hazy Orange. Honey and metallic scent. New like an amber than red. Light hops, honey note and vanilla edge.

Bottle, courtesy of paco. Thanks buddy! Hazy medium orange amber, medium off white head, brief retention, no lace. Aroma is equal parts sweet caramel and cooked apples. Apple fruit and caramel flavour, light body, brisk carbonation, almost tart finish. Looking at previous ratings, the emphasis should apparently be more on sweet malts, and not so much fruity esters as I am getting, so I wonder if this is a brew on the verge. BBD is April 19th, so that ain’t an issue. Hmmmm...

Bottle from paco. Had this beer for the first time back about 6 years ago when they could be purchased locally. Light amber and hazy with flecks of sedimentslight decent off white head and some speckles. Plenty of malty aroma with some noticable butterscotch, soft grain, something that if given time in the bottle would turn smoky and ick. Light spice. The flavour starts off strong but never delivers. Tastes very closely to the aroma. Well portioned spice. Fizzy carbonation, finishes empty.Drinkable - yes. Dull and forgetful - yes. Maybe a touch past its bottled prime - yes. Any better than 6 yrs ago - yes but not by much.

I love this bar, but the only notes I have are the numbers, which is unfortunate....

Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy dirty amber color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of dry caramel malt with light residual sweetness level is somewhat bland. Taste is not the most exciting with a bland dry caramel malt base with not much else. Easily drinkable which I guess is the point.

Drank at Bushwakker’s in Regina. Appearance is brown/amber with small head. Mild sweet malt, low hops and caramel aroma. Light carbonation with moderate bitterness and nice smooth aftertaste. An excellent starter to Bushwakker’s outstanding lineup. Most under-rated pub in Canada. Which we had one in Edmonton instead of Brewsters.
