Pint on tap at the brewery pours almost black in color with a small beige head which leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted malts with hints of chocolate and coffee. Taste is roasted malt and coffee bitterness balanced with some chocolate malty sweetness and a light hop bitterness. Medium body and good carbonation. Good stuff.

(Bottle) Pours dark with red and brown lines. Caramelly and light roasted aroma with chocolate and some butter notes. Some grass and hints of strawberries are also present. Medium roasted flavour with tones of coffee, chocolate and caramel. Hints of stone. Cocoa aftertaste. Quite clean, only a tiny sourish sting. Medium mouthfeel and body.

Wow, a fantastic porter. Lots of coffee in the aroma, pitch black (slight red shades when held up to light), good assertive body for a porter. Small brown tinged head. Heavy chocolate malt taste, with more coffee flavours thrown in. A great roasted finish with a little hop bitterness, one of the more "roasted" porters I have tried. Very clean and crisp with the perfect amount of carbonation. If this was all achieved without coffee and chocolate additives, which I believe it was, I am even more impressed. I even prefer this to the Yukon espresso stout I tried last night. Thanks rudge75, you’ve really got a good thing going there at Bushwakker in Saskatchewan.

Style et résumé: Porter fruité sans fruit.
Comment: Bouteille de 650 ml. merci Patrick
Description: Bière noire sans envergure.
Note: 6/10

On tap at the Osborne Freehouse in Winnipeg. Brown in colour with a beige head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Flavour of coffee, bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt. Medium-light body, slight bitterness. Finishes with a medium bitterness. Pretty good beer.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2009 Draft sample. A pitch black porter (which I guess is no surprise). It has a good strong coffee and malt aroma. Roasted malt and coffee flavors dominate, with just the slightest hint of chocolate. It could use a bit more body, but this is still a well crafted, balanced beer. My Labatt Lite swilling drinking buddy even thought it was good!
