3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is probably my favourite Bushwakker beer. Pours black with a thin head. Tons of roasty malt, caramel, cocoa and coffee. Medium body with light carb.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2009 Draft sample. A pitch black porter (which I guess is no surprise). It has a good strong coffee and malt aroma. Roasted malt and coffee flavors dominate, with just the slightest hint of chocolate. It could use a bit more body, but this is still a well crafted, balanced beer. My Labatt Lite swilling drinking buddy even thought it was good!

Another solid beer from Bushwakker. This beer is pretty much opaque. Not the strongest of aromas, but the flavour is good. A nice sweet roastiness followed by a hit of bitterness. I got a vague fruitiness in the aftertaste. I liked the body full without being too thick. This is well done.

Aroma of roasted coffee. All black with a nice white head. Strong coffee taste with hints of chocolate. Friendly mouth feel that invites you to drink more. A good beer to have if you plan on having a few.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Lightly roasty aroma offered notes of bittersweet dark chocolate and riaisins. Opaque brown body with translucent ruby highlights topped by a tan head that recedes to cover and coats the glass. Chocolate, plums and raisins blend well leading up to a roasty, almost ashy finish. Medium body with decent carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub before the Als/Riders game.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is of roasted malts, toast, and coffee. Taste is of roasted coffee malts with a nice dry bitterness to it. Medium-full body, soft carbonation, rather abrupt finish and thinner mouth feel. Overall a pretty good porter, not overly strong though.
