Butterscotch is dominant in the nose to the point of being unpleasant. Clear brown body is topped by a low, off white head that recedes to ring with some lacing. Butterscotch is less apparent in the fruity, caramel flavour. Floral, earthy hop flavours and moderate bitterness finish up with fruity esters returning and lingering in the aftertaste. Medium body is very slick and oily in texture with somewhat low carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub before the Als/Riders game.

A pale golden amber with a thcik two finger off white head. The nose is fruity and grainy with light grassy and lemon hops. Not too much in the taste wiht some light grains and citric hops. Lightly sweet and bitter on the finish. overall, a good session brew, but nothing spectacular.

This was an alright Bitter. Reddish orange colour, nicely balanced between sweet malts and hops, but overall not too spectacular.

650ml bottle purchased from the brewery pours a pale amber color with a finger and a half of off-white head. Aromas are mild fruit and grain and faint hops. Taste is slightly fruit with a light malty sweetness and light hop bitterness. Light to medium body and decent carbonation. A pretty decent pale ale which is easy to drink with no unpleasant aftertaste.

On tap at Bushwakkers in Regina. Not as bitter or hoppy as I would have expected.

I love this bar, but the only notes I have are the numbers, which is unfortunate....

Pours an amber colour, with a medium tan head, hazy. Aroma is of caramel malts and some sweet fruity notes and a light hop presence. Taste is slightly sweet and mildly bitter but overall not to strong really. On the palate nice and creamy, light-medium body and decent carbonation. Good beer, great name.

A friend brought one of these back for me from sask. i love fresh unpasteurized brews. This brew is more about drinking the freshness and creamyness of this crafted brew than anything else. some malts on the nose but it is more about the cream. Again, light and refreshing cream on the palate, some bitterness on the finish. an easy going refreshing brew.

550 mL bottle, cloudy orangy amber colour with off white head. Somewhat malty with a light floral aroma peeking through. The hop bitters were mid range. Light malty flavour. I can’t say too much else.

Sweet pear aroma and some diacetyl in the flavour make this a tough one to drink. Sweet and corny with little carbonation or hops.

Sham (1846) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 13, 2006
Murky amber with a very light head. Small spots of lace. Malty with some notes of citrus and caramel. Butterscotch flavors with a touch of bitterness. Diacetyl everywhere. Finishes out a bit rough.
