Finally bothered to rate this i guess. Pretty standard brown ale. Nice roast malt, very light on hops, lots of sweetness. Good example of the style.

Nice layer of slightly tanned head, laced well. Started off with just the right amount of sweetness, finished with a subtle taste of roasted malt. A really well done brown.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
650ml bottle purchased from the brewpub pours a dark brown color with 2 fingers of light tan head which leaves a healthy lacing on the glass. Aromas are of light roasted malts with hints of fruit and chocolate. Taste is light roasty malt bitterness with hints of fruit and chocolate and mild hop bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied and nicely carbonated. This is my favorite from this brewpub.

I love this bar, but the only notes I have are the numbers, which is unfortunate....

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Mahogany, average sized bubbly medium tan head that leaves lots of splotchy lacing. The aroma is quite toasty and pleasant, sweet caramel, hint of spice, faint hop. Straight forward aroma. This is a pretty tasty brew with moderate soft roast and caramel balanced well, weak fruity something, mild dull coffee and Iím having a hell of a time placing the hops and I think it may be a very faint pine. Either way, the hop bitterness works well. Zippy. Calming mouth feel, carbonation might be a touch high. Long but mild bitter finish with roastiness that follows. A very tasty beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep brown colour, cloudy with a medium beige head. Aroma is malty with chocolate and grains quite noticeable as well as a sweeter caramel/toffee scent too. Taste is of chocolate, slightly sweet with a grainy, bread like taste in the finish. Medium body with a slightly thin mouth feel. Overall an enjoyable beer, makes me want to try more by Bushwakkers.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Poured a deep brown, almost black color ale with an average size foamy head with good retention and limited lacing. Aroma of deep caramel malt with some toffee notes. Taste is also dominated by some deep caramel malt with some toffee notes and some minimal hops presence. Body is bit too thin with good carbonation. Loads of character for style that can be often quite bland.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Mild chocolate, some toasted malts and a touch of caramel in the nose. Clear deep brown body with a low off white head that recedes to cover with nice lacing. Lightly fruity notes complement the nutty malt forward flavour along with the undertone of chocolate. Decent bitterness and perhaps a touch of roast at the death. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub before the Als/Riders game.
