Pours black with a small mocha head. Roasted malts, chocolate and vanilla are quite present in the aroma, very nice. Taste is rich and malty with chocolate and vanilla again being most pronounced, dry finish. Thick on the palate, full bodied and average carbonation. Overall a very good stout.

Thanks Paco! Well, I gotta say that I’m a bit surprised at how damn good this is. Pours out like oil and leaves a nice medium brown ring. Smells excellent! I love these vanilla stouts. Huge chocolate (sweet and milk dark), strong vanilla, over sweet strawberry, roasted things, very light spice of some sort (found here and there if I pay attention), background quiet coffee filter stink, damn nice.. Leah even thought it smelt good - usually she says that "it smells like beer". The taste is pretty f’n good as well as I’m having a hard time holding back and not slamming this. Chocolate, vanilla, light bitterness has sunk in now that it’s warmed up a bit, well, lots of bits. Plenty of roast that doesn’t get too strong, bless his name. Mild yet obvious coffee under the chocolate, light spice or light citrus... me thinks the latter. Finishes very well - smooth velvety mouth feel, long tasting flavours remain imbedded in my mouth. Mellow bitterness hangs around as does mildly sweet roastiness. If I had his on tap near here I’d be drinking and drunk as shit right now... at the pub instead of here.

Tap. Very dark in color. Somewhat of a mocha head. Not too much retention. It ends up being a film fairly quickly. Nose is full of nutmeg and spice. Some roasted notes and of course some vanilla. Some chocolate and sweetness as well. Taste is similar with vanilla and spice leading the way. Very sticky and overly sweet in a bad way after about a half pint. Long bitter roasted aftertaste.
