3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2012
Half pint, reviewed at the Great British Beer Festival 4th Aug 2010.
This beer is dry hopped and has five different varieties in the brew.
The colour is a pleasant reddy amber, the head almost pure white, but not quite.
Hops dominate the smell, but not enough to put you off trying to find other notes (none of which I could find).
The taste has a hoppy bite which gets stronger all the time the beer is in the mouth, and also as the mouth dries in the aftertaste.
There is a malt input, but very mild in strength, nicely blended, but a beer with more hops than malts within.
