Cask (handpump) @ Market Porter, SE1, London. Dark brown color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate malty, strong coffee, seaweed, the northsea. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter, salty with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

[Cask at GBBF 2005] An almost opaque red-brown beer with a thin light brown head. Both the aroma and the flavor are sweet with notes of caramel and roasted malt, but the body is thin - I find it lacks alcohol.

Cask@Market Porter, Borough. Dark ruby red colour, small head. Aroma is roasted malts, dark dry fruits and some malts. Flavour is slightly roasted malts, some spicyness and earthyness. Earthyness is kind of sour and acidic, which makes the beer slightly out of balance.

Cask @ Market Porter, Borough, London. Pours a dark brown almost black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty and slightly hoppy aroma with some hints of caramel. Sweet malty fruity caramel flavor with some salty hints. Long roasted malty finish.

Dark brown with tiny off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, chocolate and caramel notes. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, bitter chocolate, coffee and caramel notes. Ends dry and bitter. Nice.

Dark coloured rich on the palate and wholesome stout. Smooth with a lasting finish.

Cask @ GBBF 2005: Black coloured. Dosn’t have much head. Light coffeish and roasted. Has some malt notes. Is quite thin bodied. Has a light sourness in the end.

Cask conditioned - handpump - GBBF2007. A black coloured beer with tan bubbles. The aroma is fishy, smooth and oily. The taste is quite smooth; some fishy character and a little light roast. Pretty decent.
