COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Occasional.
The use of fresh oysters in the late stages of the boil give this delicious chocolaty, creamy beer mysterious qualities which although not scientifically proven help a couples amorousness if not their fertility!

Cask @ Market Porter, Borough, London. Pours a dark brown almost black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty and slightly hoppy aroma with some hints of caramel. Sweet malty fruity caramel flavor with some salty hints. Long roasted malty finish.

Cask (handpump) @ Market Porter, SE1, London. Dark brown color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate malty, strong coffee, seaweed, the northsea. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter, salty with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

Cask@Market Porter, Borough. Dark ruby red colour, small head. Aroma is roasted malts, dark dry fruits and some malts. Flavour is slightly roasted malts, some spicyness and earthyness. Earthyness is kind of sour and acidic, which makes the beer slightly out of balance.

UPDATED: SEP 20, 2005 Original Rating (6-1-4-1-9=2.1): Thick, fresh, leafy tobacco and chocolate in the nose. Opaque black body with low, tan, fully diminishing head. Salty, roasty flavour has some notes of caramel and butterscotch. Flat, medium-light body. No carbonation whatsoever. Served too soon perhaps? Cask at GBBF 2005.
Rerate (6-1-4-2-9=2.2): Sampled a few days later from the same cask. Chocolate, soy, brown sugar and some light alcohol notes to the aroma. Opaque black body with low, tan, fully diminishing head. Soy-like cocoa sweetness with an underlying mustiness. Medium body with low carbonation is somewhat sticky in the mouth. Cask at GBBF 2005.
