COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - only available during the TT Races in June.
A pleasant ruby coloured ale, slightly sweet with subtle hop flavors coming through from the late addition Challenger and Fuggles hops. Malty with hints of toffee. Appeals to the Newcastle Brown Ale Brigade

Cambridge Beer Festival (Gravity). Clear, dark brown; still with no head. Slight chocolate scent but very nice and fruity in the mouth with raspberries and strawberries dominating. Not sweet, however. Quite thick on the palate, with a slight fizz.

Light copper with nice lacing. Brown sugar and butter - dessert beer I guess. The diacetyl might be too big on the tongue (especially that slimy palate) but Bushy’s seems to often have this problem. OK, for a caramel malt bitter.

Cask Conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton. A brown beer with a whitish head. A malty earthy beer with bread and berry malts throughout. A very British recipe. It’s OK.

Cask @ Bow Bar. Dark amber-copper with a sparkler head. Buttery aroma. Cookie dough. Soft palate. The flavors are just not jiving. Sweet and doughy with some nice toastiness but flavors have too much cream. It does grow on me, but not my thing.

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Bittersweet, coffee cake walnut nuttyness, honey sweetness, hay bittering hop.

Cask gravity at Kingston BF 2007. Reddish deep copper, with lasting bubbly off white head. Either quite malty or suffering from slight diacetyl. OK in mouth. Flavours are quite muted. Some toffee in a smooth mouthfeel. Some hop on end. OK, but not exciting.
