COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It ’a golden beer, with a creamy white foam. As soon as you bring the nose you immediately feel the use of hops, with hints of tropical fruit, citrus and grass field. Once you’ve done the first taste, you feel a good body, a bitter dry, citrusy, herbaceous, that leaves the mouth clean and invites a second glass. It’s a beer to drink at lunch, as an aperitif, during the afternoon, in short, when you feel like something good, cool and refreshing. Our goal was just that, to drink in quantity. The name is a clear tribute to the greatest living Italian composer Ennio Morricone, who in 1966 wrote this great song for the soundtrack of the film The Good, the Bad and the Ugly by Sergio Leone.

Bevuta recentemente appena ribrassata, mi ha decisamente e favorevolmente colpito. Naso molto luppolaggiante per lo stile, e anche in bocca rotonda e appagante. Molto bene...

Tasted from bottle - October 2011. Deep golden color white a white head not too persistent. Nose is pronounced with hop sensation like citrus fruits and grassy note. On taste there is a little and fast honey sensation deriving from malt and an impressive hop feeling herbaceous and flowery. The bitterness is really long but not discourages from having a second taste and the dry finish makes this beer very drinkable.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2012 Pours transparent gold with a large white head. Nose is malty sweetness, citrus, pineapple and pine cones. Flavor is bitter through and through, balanced enough to make the hop flavor under control and not overwhelming. Wonderful flavor. Mothfeel is oily and sharp, medium to heavy body. This beer is a knock out for the Italians!

22710/2011 La Tana (tap). Dorata, intensa, leggermente torbida, schiuma liquida e pannosa bianco-sporca, molto persistente. Aroma intenso di luppoli, agrumati, con note erbacee e di frutta. In bocca è amara senza compromessi e molto persistente, ma senza nulla togliere alla beverinità. Corpo medio, consistenza oleosa, carbonazione corretta. Davvero molto buona.

Draft @ Birra+/open baladin Roma. Bottle @ Bir & Fud Roma and Home. Golden/orange color, quite cloudy. White big head, not really rocky and persistent. The aroma is aggressive, a punch of hop, citrus, mature orange; a little bit grassy. On the taste you can get a Belgian malt character (i recognized the olmaia mark for sure) with a light body (a little bit heavier on draft) at first, but you have no time to think about it ’cause a strong APA hopiness invades your mouth with a lot of hop, citrus and flower/grassy sensations. The taste is bitter, no doubt about it, BUT i don’t got the "killer bitterness" every one is talking about. In general its strong bitterness is well balanced by the rest. The finlsh is really, really, and i mean R_E_A_L_L_Y long, one of the longest mouthfeel i ever noticed in a beer. Not so dry but bitter anyhow, as soon as you finish it, You’ll find that Drinking a second (or a third, forth) one is not even an option, is mandatory! A great session, but full of taste, beer. Not forget to mention the amazing label. Maybe the best Italian one so far. Brilliant start for the beer buskers.

Draft @ Karhisma Birroteca (Piedimonte Matese, Caserta - Italy). Pale and hazy orange color, something gold but really cloudy in the end. White head, big bubbles with good lacing. Little yeasty aroma, but HEAVILY hopped, really strong, you could smell at distance: like a fresh-cutted lawn; flower-field, apricot and grapefruit notes. A light body begins with a classic belgian ale opening full of honey, citrus, apricot again, sugar, that turns immediatly to something bitter, bitter, really bitter: resinous, herbaceous, it carries to a dry finish that lasts so long and call back another sip. Maximum drinkability, great session beer.

Molto buona questa pale ale, bellissimo il naso, un po’ troppo amara, ma ha personalità e come prima birra va benissimo.
