Beerenberger (1423) - Fischer, Texas, USA - FEB 1, 2014
Aroma of dark fruit, with some floral notes. Pours a thick inky black with a robust espresso head and no lacing. The taste follows the nose - raisins, leather, a floral quality, with a touch grain and chocolate in the finish. Full body and medium carbonation. Nice round mouthfeel. Overall, a very satisfying and tasty porter. Will drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Most excellent brew. Had this at the Bijou Theatre with my theatre mug. Black coffee hue. Laces the glass with a swirly wave. Espresso notes. Full bodied porter. Ultra smooth wash down. Absolutely drinkable and enjoyable! It gets better with each glass! Here’s to great begginings and I dare say, a cast of great brews from this up and coming SA microbrewery.

Great local brew. The taste lives up to the name: Robust. Deep black color. In-your-face aroma. Definitely worth seeking out if you're in San Antonio. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
