3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: dark Amber ale, unfiltered but clear with a thick almond foam, Aromas: malt and rye, reminds me of my childhood banana sandwiches, nutty, maybe cocoa also. Palate: medium body, smooth creamy texture and quite flat. Taste: malty bready and nutty, much like a seeded wholemeal bread. Simple but nice. Overall- A good traditional session ale, enjoyable aromas with a taste that is not overpowering, happy to have again.

1L swing top bottle. According to the back label it’s brewed by "Taruškų Alaus Bravoras". Hazy amber body, medium to small head. Dirty aroma with dishrag and wet soil. Later some bready notes. Dirty taste with stale buttery bread and yeasty dough. Slimy/creamy mouthfeel. Finishes with cereals and some light sourness. BB has 5 months left but this is clearly not in the best condition now.

Bought discounted in Tallinn (Estonia) for 3,20 eur or so for a liter bottle, it even has labels in Estonian. Small head that disappears quite quick. I’m not much of a fan of this kind but was expecting something more impressive. It’s alright but won’t blow your mind. Taste is good, smell too, but aftertaste isn’t lasting long. However for such price (I bet it’s even (a lot!) cheaper in Lithuania) I’d probably buy again.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle thanks to Dan. It pours clear deep amber with a decent white head. The nose is sweet fruits, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, estery, water and honeycomb. The taste is bitter, toasty, grainy, paper, boosty alcohol, sugary, bread, caramel and fruit cake with pretty much no finish. Light body and fine carbonation. Weird warming booze vibes persists. Very thin indeed. Meh.
