4.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The smell has a fresh and a little sour malts. The taste is much richer. A nice bouquet of malts, caramel, chocolate, red fruits. A very nice mouthfeel. A real pleaser, without being too sweet. A really great bock. Lots of carbonization keeps the bock firmly on the right place.

1.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
I think this bottle was bad, because everyone seems to extol the virtues of its carbonation. Zero head to speak of. Flat as fuck. Sour taste. Earthy and woody. Syrupy texture. I’ll give it another shot just in case, but if this is how it’s meant to be, then this is the first time I’ve ever hated a beer by Butcher’s Tears.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear brown with a medium pinkish white head and an aroma of cherries, roasted malts, ripe fruits and toffee. The taste is slighty to medium sweet with strong bitterness and a medium to long lating bitter finish. I really like this!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. Full 33cl sample. The aroma has mostly caramel, some toast and grass. Clear, red-brown coloured beer with a slight off-white head. The taste is sweet, caramellic and ends a bit grassy hoppy. Slightly sticky start, though more dry in the end. Quite some carbonation, doesn’t go down too well; I like these kind of beers a bit more easy going.
