Dark amber with full creamy off-white head. Looks great. Taste is lots of malt, caramel, some apple, citrus, pine, cinnamon, light herbal notes. Sweet and some tartness with light bitter finish. Medium bodied with nice full feel and carbonation. At first I thought it was a bit bland, but halfway I really warmed to this beer. Pretty decent stuff.

(Draught at Butcher’s Tears, Amsterdam, 23 Aug 2014) Reddish amber colour with dense, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, red fruit, nuts and toffee. Malty, slightly fruity taste with caramel, dried fruit, apricots, toffee and a gentle bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Brown with massive head. Sweet aroma with some raisin. Flavour has sweet, dried fruits and some candy. Carbonation is far too aggresive. Seems quite yeasty.

Tap @ brewpub. Pours a burnished copper with a large, off-white, frothy, large-bubbled head. Aroma is some fruitiness, apple, light apricot, light stone-fruit, yeast. Taste is a lot of stone-fruit, strong floweriness, caramel. Somewhat sweet, a bit of an off-taste. Maybe a bit contaminated? Fairly full with strong carbonation.

(Butcher’s Tears Tresspassr) On tap at Burg Bieren Festival, 200 ml. Dark reddish colour on the body, slightly hazy, small and thin off-white head with low retention, leaving light lacing behind. On the aroma there is light manure, caramel, faint grains. Taste of caramel, light floral notes. Satisfying bitterness on the aftertaste. Medium thin body, good carbonation, mildly dry on the palate. Quite nice beer, I would have come back for another, highly drinkable.
