(Bottle): Pours a clear dark amber with small off white head. Some caramel and earthy, grassy notes on the nose. Flavour has a subtle caramel malt base with hops, spice, pepper and floral notes. I love the bitterness on the finish, not too much but enough to give a kick.

A very commendable English bitter. Noticeably more bitter on the tongue than most. Clean medium bodied palate.

Mid amber colour with big beige lacing head. Aroma is malty and some muted floral notes. Taste starts slightly sweet with malts and caramel becoming moderately bitter and dry at the finish. Good balance.

I think ’middle of the road’ sums this one up - a reasonably flavoured old-fashioned English bitter. Not much to write home about, but perfectly drinkable.

Bottled@chriso. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, toffeeish, mild caramel and some quite floral hops as well. Flavour is fruity, toffeeish, mild chocolaty notes as well as some sweet floral notes. Wellbalanced and nice bitter.
