A clean tasting, refreshing, easy to drink premium bitter. Made using the palest English malt (sometimes known as lager malt), with the addition of finest Slovenian Styrians and Czechoslovakian Saaz hops. A light and fruity beer with unmistakeable citrus notes.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm, 1 July 2008) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Floral, grassy nose with citrus (lemon, grapefruit) and fresh notes of grassy hops. Malty, grassy taste with notes of citrus and fresh grassy, floral hops in a fairly short finish. Light body. Decent, tasty blond ale with a fresh, floral hop character.

Bottled (4.5%) at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Hazy pale golden, small head. Fresh aroma of vanilla and citrus. Light bodied and with fresh citric hops. Lightly yeasty with notes of minerals. Like spritzy custard with a bitter edge.

Bottle. Plale golden with a small white head. Aromas are toasty with loads of citrus. Some bitterness with resinous hops. Flavours are spritzy, fresh lemon wth some grapefruit bitterness following. Some toasty , caramel malts are lurking but this is mostly a citrus brew.

Rather flavorless; somewhat dry; weak, hay-like aroma; some toasty malts; lingering, slightly astringent finish. Breakfast beer

Bottled.More like a lager than a golden ale this was superb.A wonderful long lasing citrus taste dominates. This is perfectly balanced with gentle traces of bitterness. What a find-highly recommended.

Bottle. Pale yellow. Big aroma of Saaz hops. Nice hoppy flavour, citrus and slightly floral. Also a hint of sweet flavour, something like vanilla? Nice golden ale, though not my favourite I will probably have this one again.

Spring 2010 Cask: Special - JDW Spring Fest 2010, Rochester. Touch of melon in a light fragrant blond, though also a touch of soap. OK [2.8]
