Best Maris Otter is blended with Vienna malt to give the beer a reddish hue. Challenger and Bramling Cross hops are used, the latter delivering a distinctive and fruity blackcurrant finish…Season’s Greetings…Ho, Ho, Ho!

Cask at the Cricketers, Shroton; chestnut brown, clear with a creamy white head; strong malty aroma; malty taste too - toasted and a little nutty; dry and creamy mouthfeel, almost stoutlike; some earthy hops and a gentle bitter finish; a modest Christmas offering at 4.2, but together with the cosiness of the pub it did the trick in enveloping me with warmth on a misty, dreary post-festive Sunday.
