3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is grapefruit hops, colour pale but not overly so. Biscuity malt with a decent body. Don’t know whether I had a particularly good pint of this, but for once I actually liked a heavily citrus flavoured beer. The only drawback was the overly bitter finish but that goes with the territory.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Gravity cask at the Forest, Dorridge, winter beer festival 2015. Poured a clear medium amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is fresh grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth light hop, light spicy palate and a soft fruity bitter finish. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at The Market Taven, Durham.
Pours mid-amber with a smooth, foamy, white head. Laces well. There’s sweet orange and grapefruit in a pleasant nose that leads into very tasty orange sweetness in the early taste, before a clean, mid-dry finish. Not groundbreaking but enjoyable.

Appearance - golden with a nice lacy head.

Overall - a good example of the style.
