This amber-coloured beer has a robust, full-flavoured character and features generous helpings of New Zealand hops which lend a beautiful, grape-like aroma. Hops used: Nelson Sauvin

On cask at the Haymarket Appearance - golden with a nice lacy head. Nose - meadow flowers and fresh lemon. Some green notes a bit like aloe vera. Taste - more aloe vera and then grapefruit. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a good example of the style.

Cask in Rising Sun, Berkhamsted. Perfect condition. Clear somewhere between chestnut brown and amber, thin white head. Huge ’burton snatch’ sulphur nose, some fruity citrous, light green hop leaf, grain husk. Taste is light citrous, light green hop leaf bitter, toasty malt. Nicely balanced and a nice beer.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2014 Cask at the Prince of Wales, Westbury on Trym. Pale amber with a fine lacing head and that grapey aroma. Earthy and faintly fruity bitterness well balanced with juicy malt, though with a slightly harsh bitter edge in the finish. Re-rate on Cask at the Cabbage Patch, nose a little maltier and the harshness muted. Rather nice.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. Lightly hopped beer, there is a definite Southern hemisphere hop note to it, kiwi fruit, tropical and a hint of dry smokiness. A decent beer as expected from this brewer, good.
