Cask at the Claude du Vall (JDW), Camberley. Golden amber with an attractive ring of white head; aroma of orange fruit and spicy hops; medium body with rich buttery malts, orange fruit, and crisp apples; then some pungent English hops giving a lasting finish with a hint of nettle. An excellent bitter, particularly for the ABV. The best beer I’ve tried at this JDW festival.

Hand pulled at the Briar Rose, Birmingham. Fluffy head. Gold. Delicious hops: fresh as a daisy. Milky hop juice, with a drying finish, which isn’t too bitter. Feels light and gentle. Whilst rating I was worried that I had this and the Dutch Delight the wrong way round, but reading the other comments I’m reassured.

Cask handpull at Samuel Peto JDW Folkestone. Gold light brown with a lasting thin cream coloured head. Little bit of light hop on the aroma. Some ok very light biscuit malt in the mouth. Good dry stingy hop on the finish. Its a tasty light bitter. I rather like it. Its a session bitter with enough stingy finishinh hop to make you want to take another gulp.
