On gravity at Reading BF 5/5/2007. Amber coloured with decent white head. As the other comments have mentioned, this left a big impression for a relatively weak session bitter. There were plenty of hops in both aroma and flavour but these were balanced by the biscuity malt. Not a beer to get tired of.

Gravity cask at the Black Horse, Checkendon, Oxon. Light gold with a reasonable white head. A well balanced dry and hoppy light session bitter.

[on cask at Nag’s Head, Reading] Malt, red fruits and some green leafiness, but far too bitter for my tastes and with an odd sourness in th background that made me feel vaguely ill. Found this very hard to get through, and not a patch on the Hampshire Ironside I’d had just before.

Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.
Clear medium yellow orange color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light roasted, moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, and a dry finsh. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (030508)

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Reading Beer Festival.
Bright golden with an maber hue and a thin white rim. A straight forward but very endearing beer. Eathy malt,, slight tobacco and plenty of citric hoppage. Excellent bitter finish. Sessionable as hell. Good stuff.

Gravity, Far From The Madding Crowd. Copper, small skim of white. Distinct apple aroma--a little biscuit and candy hops hang around in the background, but apples firmly in the fore. A fresh, pleasant apple character; doesn’t seem like an off flavor. Lightly tart apple flavor, nice try toast. Light, but not watery. A nice little ale.

Cask at the Oddington Arms, Oxon. This tiny mythical pub in Otmoor that rises from the ashes once or twice a year. Golden amber in colour, a great session beer that had wonderful levels of bitterness and at 3.6% was a much, much tastier beer than one might have expected there was plenty of hops also present in this classy session beer. Really really liked this.

Cask Conditioned at The Horse & Groom, Caulcott, Oxon. Golden yellow beer with large bubbly head. Wow, expecting a standard boys bitter, this was exceptional. There was a juicy hop flavour throughout with a restrained balanced sweetmalt base. I could have drunk this all afternoon, except we had to move on. Delicious lemon, frapefruit notes but all at a delicate level. This is a brand new brewery on the borders of Oxfordshire and if this level of competence is kept up we can look forward to many happy sessions. Excellent.
