COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A crisp refreshing version of a German hefeweizen. This beer reflects the west coast interpretation of this age old style. A little less wheat and a little extra hop character than the average wheat beer. Unfiltered, yet remarkably bright (clear) due to extra care during fermentation.

A light golden color with just a tad of cloudiness, this is forgiving to the palate but no hefeweizen. Tastes lightly of vanilla with a bit of lemon zest thrown in. A bit hoppy for a wheat beer. A good credible brew, but nothing to get worked up over.

I had this beer a while back and from what I can remember I enjoyed it. I’ve had this at the pub/brewery so it was fresh. Nothing special about it is popping into my head at the moment.

12 oz bottle purchased at Frugal MacDoogal’s in Nashville. Yes they still have this, even though no one has rated it in a year and a half. It poured a hazy yellow, with a one finger white head. The aroma was spicy with cloves dominating. The flavor was clove with a zesty lemon finish.

I remember the clean crisp taste of water to it but all joking aside it was very nice. Better with a lemon.

the six pack looks like its been sitting on the shelf for about 5 years. slightly hazy gold with a huge creamy white head. very hoppy aroma. flavor is hoppy(flowery) as well. no banana notes. more like a pale ale to me.

According to the descriptions, this has aspirations towards being a hefeweizen. In reality, it’s a mediocre American wheat, clear golden in body with a modest white head. It smells of Wheaties witha very slight hint of banana and a light zest of lemon tartness. The wheat remains in the flavor and the banana is lost. The lemon zest turns into a bitterness that lasts into the finish.

Decent, with alot of upfront yeastiness, a big puffy white head and a hint of cloudy haze in the golden pour. Smooth and creamy with a nice bitter bite in the finish. Defeinitely one of the best things ever to come out of Butte Creek and exceptionally good for an American style wheat.

A nice deep golden pour with just a slight haze. A white head that goes quickly. A nice fruity aroma with bannana at the front. A decent smooth palated beer for a wheat. A bitter that is rather odd. I wish I had bought a sixer so that I could really figure out what this beer is about. Not bad for a wheat.

From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with a blurb along the left side of the label, no bottled/freshness date. Made a average appearance, poured like you would any hefe weizen, hazy orange hued yellow with a foamy white head that quickly settled into a thin lacing, medium carbonation overall. Had a nose of sweet fruity wheat malts, apples and grassy hops. A crisp and smooth lightish medium bodied mouthfeel, average drinkability. Sweet fruity wheat malt taste that is kind of bland, apples with a squirt of lemon, dry peppery, grassy hoppiness and a sweet malty and grassy finish. I wasn’t too impressed by this hefe weizen from Butte Creek, not something I will be a regular buyer of.
