3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 kenb (1102) - USA - FEB 24, 2008
22 oz bottle via Capital Market. Stoked about trying this as i love wet-hopped beers done right...Butte Creek is very hit or miss though..so let’s see. Pours a semi-clear copper with a small beige head. Nose is herbal/earthy hops with yeasty phenols. Taste starts with some crystal malt, some toastiness, then some ginger, and some spicy/woody hoppiness. Body is medium, carbonation is medium. Not bad, but not the wonderful floral aromatic hoppiness that i expect from a good wet-hopped beer. More like a decent Amber Ale...
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Cletus (6064) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 16, 2010
Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of caramel, diacetyl, some resiny hints. Tastes messy and spicy with some earthy notes.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - JAN 5, 2010
Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Caramel and butterscotch is the first thing i detect, this must be a hell of an ipa. Traces of pine and earth, but its more so soapy caramel and some tea like astringency. Fail or old.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 5000 (4104) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JAN 3, 2010
Bottle:   Copper colored, fairly clear, moderate foamy off-white head, nice lacing, moderate carbonation.   Looks pretty good.   Slight cerealesque aroma, minor earth.   Anything hop associated is very muted.
Perhaps a smidgen of citrus peel.   On the tongue its much better than I expected, with the earthy/grainy aspect I so commonly associate with "organic" being softer than usual.   Does have a moderate sweetness, slight
citrus peel aspect, with a good malt base.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finishes more on the malty side, hops have faded.   A little earthy, barnish, soily, with a little bit of honeycomb like cereal on the exit.
Tiz okay, less "organic" like than their other offerings, but not as bitter or IPA like as I would have hoped.   Enjoyed it more than I thought I would tho.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 demitriustown (906) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - SEP 4, 2009
12 oz bottle: Aroma is pine, citrus hops, grassy, grainy with a hint of malts on the back end. Appearance is a golden/ amber with a medium sized white head that lingers around for quite a while. Taste is hops, earthy, some nutty malts, grassy, and a light amount of burnt quality. Palate is nice;y clotting with an aftertaste of light grassy hops. OVerall, Decent brew. Not the best IPA that I’ve had, but if offered I would definitely accept it. Cheers!
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 beerguy101 (4925) - Newark, California, USA - MAY 10, 2009
Sampled on 5/7/2009. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head, with good retention. The aroma is citrusy and piney hops and iced tea. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are floral and grapefruity. Decent carbonation. Kind of muddy tasting. The hop bitterness is not balance by the malts. Not really enjoying this one, can’t quite place why, but its not working for me, perhaps it the muddy taste or the vegetative aspect of the fresh hops. It’s been in the fridge awhile so maybe that is a factor as well. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hopdog (7043) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 9, 2009
22oz bottle acquired in trade with Floydster - thanks! Poured a medium amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of fresh green hops, citrus, and I was getting a lighter butteriness. Tastes of fresh floral green hops, citrus, and a little earthy. Body on the thinner side.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 egajdzis (4587) - Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 9, 2009
Poured a clear amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of light floral hops, citrus fruits, toasted malts, toffee, and a bit of pine. Taste of citrus fruits, light herbs, caramel, earth, and some pine, with a dry finish.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this one. Pours a translucent amber with golden notes and a medium bubbly and creamy off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of orange, pine, caramel, buttery and iced tea. Flavor of iced tea, pine, grapefruit, very watery, earthy, caramel and light citrus.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 14, 2008
Like seems to be with most of the Butte Creek beers I’ve tried, not even close to being a clean beer. Aroma is a mess of spicy hops and caramel. Taste is first a bit of butterscotch and malt and hops come in second. I like the hops and there there is a nice bitter finish, but they could do much better. I hope.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 luttonm (962) - Belgrade, SERBIA - SEP 13, 2008
Low on my list of fresh hops .. a little soapy in the nose and taste. Pretty thin with mild hop, peppers. more creamy (like butter) than I’d like. expected color and head,
