1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 JoeMcPhee (6964) - Toronto, ON, - JUL 16, 2010
Tap at Pony. Slightly cloudy amber pour. The nose is quite light with just a kiss of light caramel and a suggestion of grassiness. A little bit earthy on the palate with a really lifeless hop profile. Worty and underattenuated. Middling hop bitterness and almost no real hop character. Really could stand as a great example of how not to brew this style. Gak.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 tgncc (1913) - Bellmore, New York, USA - MAR 29, 2012
The aroma is unmistakeable chocolate, caramel, citrus. The appearance is dark amber/red, cream colored head. The flavor is chocolate, caramel, citrus, bread. The finish is citrus, floral hoppiness. Medium in body, maybe a little sticky. Not bad at all. Almost good. Definitely defied my expectations for this brewery.

Golden red pour with thin head. Refreshing semi sweet malty-hops. I like it. I think that this is under-rated (at the time of this post, the rating is poor).
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ben4321 (2220) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAR 13, 2012
Location: Draft at Whole Foods - Columbus Circle ("On Tap"), 3/10/12
Aroma: The aroma has some earthy hops, grassy notes, and some caramel malts
Appearance: This one pours a caramel color with a small off-white head
Flavor: The taste is similar to the nose, mid-plus bitter with a light sweetness
Palate: This one has a medium body, with a somewhat sticky feel, and a dry finish
Overall Impression:
I thought this was an OK beer, but it was a little uninspired, and didn’t have a ton of depth to it. This was not a great example of the style.

Draft. Pours orange with an off white head. Herbal and floral hoppy aroma with light sweet malts. The flavor is a bit floral and earthy, with a light sweetness and a lightly bitter finish. Not a good IPA but not bad overall.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Dfonorow (590) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAR 22, 2011
On tap at RnH. Pour is dark/cloudy yellow-brown with a small head. Decent lacing and quite carbonated in appearance. Aroma is of sweet citrus with notes of caramel, brown sugar, flowers, citrus. Flavor is much heavier on the sweetness than on the hops. Fairly bland mouth feel as well.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 scarletfire65 (522) - Rockaway Park, New York, USA - MAR 19, 2011
Tap at Ginger Man. Deep amber, small dense head. Aroma is citrusy hops. Palate is hop forward, not much maltiness, some peppery spiciness and and a firm oaky, woody, earthy finish. Lacks depth and complexity, but not terrible.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 msojka (457) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 13, 2011
On tap at Rattle ’N’ Hum. Pour is an almost clear amber with a small white head. Nose is hops and hops alone, not too much else going on. Taste is hoppy, and more earthy than anything else, rather average for an IPA.
