3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz can, shared by Caterwaul. Very dark brown color. Good, bigger, kind of airy light brown head. Good lace. Medium body. Soft, stronger carbonation. Stronger, kind of effervescent carbonation - odd for a stout, but still nice. More dry finish. Dark bitter chocolate, nice toasty, moderate to stronger roast, light burnt malt aroma. Some good herbal hoppiness to this. Moderate to stronger bitter taste, mild to minimal sweet. Good, hoppy, bitter stout, albeit maybe a little thin.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can into pint glass. Very dark brown, almost black, with tan head. Aroma of light roasted malt, some milk chocolate, hint of vanilla and coffee notes. Taste is the aroma, some dark fruity, sour and smoke notes with slight roasty bitterness. Medium body, medium carbonation, smooth, somewhat astringent with a dry finish. Somewhat weak on aroma but made up for in taste, decent sweet stout that leans more toward the roasted side.

Out of a can at Stoneyard. Pretty good for canned beer. Had a sweet enjoyable nose, milk chocolate. Color is very dark. Not very complex, not a sweet palate, a neutral palate.

Not too heavy, not too light...it is what it says. The taste meets their style as described. I'd imagine some would say too watery...too light...but I would not. Nice coffee aroma when sipping. Hints of cocoa. Chewy immediately. Foams well.

Can. Dark brown with medium tan foamy head that dissipates rather quickly, vanilla aroma, coffee beans taste, fizzy carbonation, long finish. More like a porter than a sweet stout, but still nice.

Can. Pours dark reddish-brown with a medium beige head. Flavors of roasted malt, light nuts and a strange buttery flavor. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, light chocolate and a strange butter/milk-like flavor. Sweet, bland finish with no bitterness.
