3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can into pint glass. Very dark brown, almost black, with tan head. Aroma of light roasted malt, some milk chocolate, hint of vanilla and coffee notes. Taste is the aroma, some dark fruity, sour and smoke notes with slight roasty bitterness. Medium body, medium carbonation, smooth, somewhat astringent with a dry finish. Somewhat weak on aroma but made up for in taste, decent sweet stout that leans more toward the roasted side.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Deep brown, low tan head. Aroma chocolate, dark caramel, umami. Taste sweer, roasty and pinch of salt. Very assertive in roastiness. Spoiled by high carbonation, finish with unpleasant fruity esters - which is inappropriate in this style. Not very nice

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can at Hopyard, april 26th 2016. Black body with a brown head. Aroma of cocoa, lactose, earthy hops, mild coffee. Taste is sweet and sticky, chocolate, balanced by a gentle note of roast, with raisins towards the finish. Pretty sweet stuff, enjoyable, but may be a victim of it’s low abv.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can via trade from notes. Pours a dark brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, thinner body, just ok.

Svart med høyt beige skum. Lukter korn, havre, kaffe og mørk sjokolade. Middels til lett. Lite bitterhet. Noe kaffebitterhet er det. Lett søtlig, sjokolade, noe kandis og salt lakris. Middels lang.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
355ml can. Jet black colour with sma,, to average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of toffee, coffee, a touch of liquorice and malt lozenge. Taste is slightly dry, roasty dark malty, minimally metallic, notes of coffee and dark chocolate, hints of liquorice, subtle hints of lactose, bitter hoppy finish. Not much sweetness, but quite beefy and variegated. Definitely underrated.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can @ The Butcher Block. Not sure why the low rating, i’m very picky about my beer, and this was delicious! Not the richest but it was heavy on the malty, dark chocolate & roast flavors. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
My go-to summertime stout. Light bodies but super roasty and chocolatey, mega crushable all year round.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours deep brown with medium beige head that leaves some lace and skim.
Pleasant nose of nuts, coffee and malt. That’s what it delivers in the glass as well, along with milk chocolate.
This is lighter than I expected, presenting more as a porter. The brewer’s blurb concedes this point, attempting to distinguish Moo thunder from "heavy, boorish and smelly" European stouts.
The slur is unnecessary, but it’s not a complaint to call this a porter, as it is smooth and drinkable, controlled in all respects.
