Dorwart (1618), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA Jun 1, 2008 Can. Pathetic excuse for a head. A thin sloppy layer of large bubbles. Dark brown in color. Thin looking. Some light roasted malts and a bit of dark chocolate in the aroma. Lifeless in the mouth. Actually the flavor is better than I expected. Lots of roasted grains, some smoke, cigarette ash and a bit of bitterness again. Finishes roasty and milky. Why do I keep buying thiese and why do they keep making them?
Linus_Stick (1553), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 27, 2008 Ugh...terrible sweet stout. Terrible beer actually. Aroma was hardly anything with just a slight hijnt roasted malt. Pour was a flat near black with just a slight thin tan film for a head. Taste was very flat and thin. A bitter roasted malt hits the sides of the tongue quickly then all flavor eixts and itters the throat. No carbonation. Blah puboflyons (385), New Hampshire, USA Sep 22, 2008 From a 12 fl. oz. can. Pours really dark and almost black. Very little head. Strange aroma of chocolate, coffee grinds, and raisins. In a way it is rather off-putting. Actually, I haven’t experienced an aroma quite like it. Heavy mouth feel. Smoked chocolate malts and coffee flavor and finishes on the dry side. It leaves an aftertaste. A lot of folks are more impressed with this one that I am. probstk (685), Nepean, Ontario, Canada Sep 17, 2008 12 fl. oz. can from BOTW, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. App.: Black with large tan-gray froth.
Aroma: Grapes and fruit, minty herbals, light meaty-savoury note, a bit of ashen dark-roasted coffee, there’s also an odd herbal-vegetal note.
Palate: Medium-ish body, moderate carbonation.
Flav.: Lots of grape Bazooka gum, a bit of stark dark malt, light fruitiness, a bit of that odd herbal-vegetal note; dry with a little bitterness and a mouth-coating mineral-coffee finish.

Cool can, cool name, almost cool beer. cbkschubert (1605), Rattlesnake Country, Arizona, USA Sep 14, 2008 12 oz. can - Pours a dark brown color with a small light tan head. Faint lacing. Aroma and flavor is chocolate and coffee. Light to medium body. Leaves the palate dry. Not bad for a canned stout. cheapdark (1597), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 31, 2008 Nice looking pur from a black can. looks like rootbeer with a thin choco mousse head. Good clean beery aroma but it lacks any of the typical stout aromas. taste is slightly bitter and stoutish with roasty burned wet wood character. Mild imps stout attribute on the finish but very acceptable.
