Bockyhorsey (1920), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 15, 2008 Can courtesy of cbkschubert. Aroma did have a slight aluminum can presence but also some sweet fruits. Orange body with good head and decent lacing. Citrus hop bittering to the flavor but that musty aluminum also appeared in the flavor. Good can beer thanks Craig. mansquito (576), Boston/Philadelphia, USA Jul 6, 2008 Pours long-lasting white head and has an amber brown body. Fruity smell. Moderate hops. Citrusy end. Enough malts. Problem in that I didn’t like the aftertaste. The first beer was ok, but every ensuing one kind of annoyed me. GAManiac (217), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jun 27, 2008
Pours a hazy golden amber with a creamy white head that lasted for a little while leaving no lacing. Smell is faintly hopped with lemongrass aromas and a bready malt background. I also got a ginger kick in the nose as well. Taste is more heavy on the bready malts with a bit of lemongrass but a strong ginger presence as well - almost like tea. The mouthfeel is light but fairly bitter. The drinkability is pretty good on this one though there is nothing that stands out and it’s only an average APA with less hop presence than I would prefer and pretty muddled taste that doesn’t blend extremely well. SQNfan (388), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Jun 26, 2008 Bottle: This poured copper in color with a fluffy head. The nose showed tropical citrus fruits and light spice. In the mouth it came off as quite flat even though there was quite a bit of small bubbles constantly rushing to the top. So, while it was definitely properly carbonated it just came off as flat, dry and tired. jredmond (585), New Jersey, USA Jun 20, 2008 Updated: Jul 13, 200812 oz can purchased at Penn Station. I was 8 drinks in when I tried this, and I still couldn’t finish it. Aroma is hop and citrus I guess?? taste is smooth , malt and hop. Gross though. nasty just like the two fat billies slapping bellies on the can.
