Leighton (234), New York, New York, USA Oct 25, 2009 Not bad, but didn’t really distinguish itself from the pack of IPAs that I’ve had. Had some on tap at Rattle n Hum. Decent hop character. Clean finish and nice mouthfeel. Aesthetically average. Yeah, I would drink it again but not if I had other options. goldfish19 (33), Long Island, New York, USA Oct 10, 2009 ~ Purchased a 6-pack from Big Z Beverage in Huntington, NY. I was running late for a poker game and I needed something quick, cold, and fast. The bright yellow cans immediately caught my attention. Golden in color, this IPA has good carbonation and a big frothy white head. Citrus and floral hops complete the aroma. Taste is sweet and slightly bitter. Snapperhead was very easy to drink considering it’s rated at almost 7% ABV.
Conclusion: Not the best IPA, but certainly not the worst. I’m surprised I enjoyed this beer as much as I did. A nice treat! ~ jrob21 (1250), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 26, 2009 Love the picture on the can but what the hell is a farmhouse IPA? 12 oz can at the Midway. Pour is a dark yellow. Aroma of grapefruit hops. A light bodied and unadventurous drink that is primarily grapefruit styled hops and not a lot else. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 21, 2009 Source:12 oz can.
Glass:Can.
Appearance:Poured a little out to get the appearance. Clear orange pour with an off white head.
Aroma:Grapefruit and caramel.
Flavor:Grapefruit and caramel, with a slight burned sugar note.
Palate:Medium body with solid carbonation.
Overall:The burned tinge aside, this was pretty good in my opinion.
nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 16, 2009 12 oz can. Clear, burnt orange with a lasting inch of creamy foam leaving a nice crunchy lace. Mild aroma of resin and lemon. Flavor is tea leaf, orange wood, caramel, and some hints of toasted nut and cocoa. Light-medium body is a little too frothy at times, but finishes nicely dry. Decent, well-balanced IPA that seems a bit more of a British than the typical knock-you-down with hops AIPA. mephisto (1144), Taiwan Sep 11, 2009 sweet ipa with mild hop flavor, it is in a can with green shark cover. not much to add. mcc5468 (102), USA Sep 2, 2009 From a can. Hazy golden color with light head. Aroma was malts and maybe some citrus hops? Taste was just plain bad - maybe because I was expecting something else but it had a creamy, soapy, butter taste and no hop bite. I couldn’t drink it. ALCOHOLNIZM (59), WARWICK, USA Aug 10, 2009 CLOUDY GOLDEN BEER WITH THIN WHITE HEAD. SLIGHT HOPS AROMA NOT TO MUCH ON THE CITRUS FLAVOR LIKE A TYPICAL IPA. EASY TO DRINK NOT A MUCH OF AN IPA BUT STILL BETTER THAN AN MOST CANNED BEERS
