COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our India Pale Ale packs typical IPA balls but strikes a better balance between dryness and drinkability. It’s every bit as rich but a little less bitter than other American interpretations of the breed, and here’s why. We are smarter, better looking brew masters. It also doesn’t hurt that we use 2 row barley with no goofy processing. And then we employ a 2 week dry hop process before we put it in the can, with love for you, our beer loving friends. There is no fish or fish flavor in Snapperhead. We chose this cartoon figure to represent the brand in a somewhat random marketing process we call ’non-sensical ideation’.

Canned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Dark amber, minimal head. Evident apricot aroma. Medium sweet with rather clean mouthfeel and evident crystal malt character. The hops are freshening, which helps when the body is a bit syrupy and boozy. Finishes with medium bitterness. Decent, if a bit edgy.

Strong buttery aroma, loads of diacetyl. Aroma is very off putting making it tough to drink beer. Flavor is also buttery and sweet. A strong metallic taste is also present. This was a tough beer to drink

Poured from can. Aroma of hay and pancake syrup. Cloudy gold, white head. Flavors of pepper and floral hops, malt, honey and metal. Metallic aftertaste. Something is definitely wrong here.

(Can, Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 22 May 2012) Hazy amber colour with brief, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with apricots, floral hops and hints of spices. Malty, fruity taste with notes of grass, citrus, a touch of grapefruit and a spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Oddly enough there’s a touch of saison hanging around, but then its says "farmhouse ale" on the can, so it may be intentional. Different, but quite enjoyable.

Can. Pours a clear amber with a medium to large white head that falls to nothingness rather quickly. Sweet and buttery on the nose, loads of diacetyl. I’m not usually bothered by a little bit, but there’s so much here that I really don’t want to drink it. Reluctantly, I do. It’s not as bad as I had worried based on the butter filled nose, but yes, there’s some more buttery stuff going on here. Medium bodied, toast, malt, a bit of bitterness and sweet malt. Long bitter finish. Picks up a bit from the nose, but this is not such a happy thing.

hazy orange with a sudsy white head. syrupy medium-full body with medium-high carbonation.

aroma: very sweet malt (like malt extract), orangy citrus.

taste: lots of syrupy sweet malt, lots of bitter citrusy hops.

Pours a cloudy deep golden color with a super big white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is of malts, slight hops, aluminum, and caramel. Flavor is a little sweeter than I thought it would be. Malts and grains come through in the front with a hop and bitter citrus finish. Leaves a bitter hop finish. Overall this isn’t anything special.

Can my friend brought over. Orange color with a tan head... some hop smell, some malts, some garbage.... taste is thin and boozy, not much flavor or anything going on here. pretty much not good.

Can from TJ’s. Muddy, poop orange with a small white ring of lace, very light carbonation. Nose is caramelized cardboard, grainy malts. Taste is horrible. Dirty vacuum cleaner, spoiled cheese, I don’t want to ruin my palate forever. Maybe the worst ipa i have ever had.

Can from variety pack shared with Streets. Pours dark amber into shaker. Large, mostly even white head. Aroma has notes of malt and sugar with a little hop balance. Taste is not very much like an IPA - pretty grainy and bready with notes of sweet caramel. Hop profile not nearly discernible to me. Just kind of like a harsh ale. Light/medium but choppy mouthfeel. Not a great balance, not a great beer. But not awful.
