Bruxellensis, draught. Blonde. Buttery barnyard aroma. Malty sweet, buttery flavor, but luckily they didn’t forget the flowery hops. Hint of toffee. Diacetyl, no doubt.

Koelschtrinker (7054) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 1, 2011

Maria (8576) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 16, 2011
From tap at the brewpub. Served in stone mug. The aroma has initially notes of light brewers mash, but later also malt, light butterscotch and fruit. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of butterscotch, a little mash, light fruit and the finish is dry.

Oakes (10184) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 14, 2009
Ceramic mug. Hoppy aroma is lightly fruity. Earthy, minerally, pretty dry. Nice character. Good balance. This is good country beer at what is basically a zoigl stube, only open on weekends.

Beershine (4718) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - AUG 9, 2009
Holzfass @ brewery. Krug. Medium gold with small head and scant cap. Aroma is nice but mild with minerals, earth, and floral hops. Could be brighter but has a clean country aroma. Quaffable, nutty palate. The flavors include wood but has little to no tannins. The grassy and earthy hop is perhaps too subtle. Has some yeasty farm funk that is nice. The hop flavors take on more greenery, chloryphyll, and broccoli tones late but better late than never!

Cask at the brewpub. Served in a ceramic mug. Stable plasticky white head. The flavour is mildly malty with a medium bitterness. Clean and mild, slightly rough bitterness. The beer seems clear golden in the mug.

omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 13, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. Probably pale amber, small creamy head. Grassy nose- medium bodied with honeyish rounded malt character. Quite drinkable. Mild with low carbonation and fairly low bitterness. An unassaulting beer that well compliments the unassuming biergarten in Untergreuth.

Comments: A rather flat, highly grassy and yeasty lager that has more diacetyl than it deserves.

duff (5483) - St, Margarets, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 23, 2007
Draught@Bruxellensis. Kind of sweet and buuetry in the mouthfeel. Otherwise quite clean, with not a lot going on. The butteryness (diacetyl) comes back in the finish and it makes it quite unpleasant to drink.

On tap at Bruxellensis. Haze pale gold. Thin white head. OK lager, some nice character/malts. Some butter. Too buttery for me.

A Mes rate: Draught @ Bruxellensis. Straw colour with a light haze. Diacetyl kills all. Faint hoppage in there but everything else I’m getting is a trick of the Diacetyl. Büttner... Hmm...
