3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Waitrose, Marlborough, Wilts. Very nice beer. Poured a thickish looking hazy orange, with a little head. Fresh and fizzy on the tongue, with a citrus blast giving way to a delicious bundle of hops in the middle - tangy. Things get slightly watered down on the finish, but this is still an above average hoppy brew.

Very nice apricot aroma. Slightly alcoholic, though. Very watery start. Some smooth butter in middle. Quite bitter finish. Watery and weak palate. Amber colour and low carbonation.

Frothy sticky head from the cask at Wenlock Arms. Nice. Substantial hop character with a clean crisp palate. This was the best of the rounds at Wenlock.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms, London.
Blonde ale with a large fluffy white head. Fruity blond with a well rounded bitter flavour. Finishes well and is superb condition. Drinking with Yogi, Pivo and their friends Joe and Kelly (Silk was on his way). Our first beer at the Lock just before the doors shut, and a great night was just getting better.

The aroma is lovely of oranges and aroma hops.
The color is orange and it has no head. The flavor is lightly sweet in the beginning, watery in the middle, but with a good bitter end combined with notes of grass and oil. A very nice beer.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Light yellow/amber but a milky froth of a head. Hoppy, floral aroma which would strike pleasing notes with many American tasters. Very smooth and oh so creamy. Strong citrus flavors, pink grapefruit, touch of tangerine, but the bitterness, while definite there, is beautifully held in balance in ways that most American brewers of IPAs could only dream of achieving. [This is organic? So the pump-clip says.] Holy cow, I can't believe I'm rating a standard UK cask ale this high...on this night, in this pub, at least, this was a truly outstanding glass of beer. (on tap, Hobgoblin, Oxford)
