500ml bottle from Ales by Mail. Poured a rich, deep ruby colour with a well retained creamy, one-finger & lacing beige to light tan head. Red fruits with a toasty, gently roasted edge & a soft liquorice note in the aroma. Juicy red fruits underpin a delicately roasted malt upfront character flavour-wise. Some nutty & dark bready malts on the tongue too. Light to medium body, quite soft & smooth in terms of mouthfeel with a lingering dryish malt finish. A solid but subtle standard porter that conditioned well in the bottle.
