Cask at Merton Summer Beer Festival 2004 (retrospectively added from diary notes) Golden beer, hoppy and bitter, brewed with lager malts? Mmmhh... not bad

[Bottle conditioned] An amber beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is sweet, slightly roasted, and with slight notes of honey. The flavor is sweet roasted with hints of yeast and hops. The end is dry hoppy.

Cask Conditioned at The Hobgoblin, Oxford. Orange golden beer with bubbly head. Had ’French Biere’ on the pump clip, not sure what they are trying to do here. Good dry hoppy bitter flavour on a thin base, a little carbonated I believe. Not enough character to maitain the pint, but pleasant enough.

Cask Conditioned, White Horse, Hedgerley. Gravity, poured by me. A pleasent golden beer that is dry/bitter.
