Euston Tap. Keg. Light haze on this amber beer, little white head. Light fine minerally carbonation in the otherwise smooth palate. Smooth creamy malt, sweet. Decent sweetish hops. Orange marmalade with a good backing of tropical fruits. Touch of dry spice. Smooth finish with orange marmalade and pith. Pretty drinkable.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle on the 2nd Friday night is Bottled Beer Night 2014. From The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Cloudy hazy dirty golden brown with a lasting bubbly white head. Aroma of grapefruit but sharp gooseberry as well. And some sweet toffee. I’m guessing from the aroma I’m looking at a big IPA or DIPA. Very piney on the aroma. It’s sweet. For someone who likes a fully attenuated beer this has way too much residual sugar left in the beer. Too sweet. It unbalances the hops. I feel bad but this may even have to be a low rating. I love these 2 breweries and yes there is some nice hop going on and a lovely grapefruit sting on the finish, but it’s too sweet for me. Ken, where are you??? I need you.
