Bottle, murky brown with little head, green hops and farmyard funk on the nose, sour and initially a bit thin, filling out with bitter sour funkiness.

0,33L bottle bought at Craftissimo Hong Kong. Appearance: Pours a hazy orange amber colour with very thin white head. The head disappears quite quickly. Aroma: Fruity and hoppy aroma of tropical fruits such as passionfruit, peach, grapefruit and lychee. Some berries, citrus, pine and herbs too. Taste: Intense medium to heavy berries and passionfruit sourness. Later turns into some subtle lychee and lemon zest tartness. Light herbal and grassy bitterness at the end. Palate: Light to medium body with sticky and oily mouthfeel. Long-lasting tart and sour berries aftertaste. The finish is quite dry and funky with lively carbonation. Overall: Excellent sour beer. The complex tropical fruits aroma and intense tartness are refreshing and thirst-quenching. I think the Buxton/ To Øl Sky Mountain Sour and the Buxton/ Lervig Trolltunga are the two best sour ale I have had so far. Maybe Buxton do have a secret recipe for making exceptions sour ale.

330mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out light citric and some earthy notes. Flavour is a bit stale, with notes of cardboard, earthy notes and lots of citric notes. Too cardboardy. Surprisingly off. Meh.
