3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 6.8%. Hopped with a blend of European, North American and New Zealand varieties. Deep golden colour, large white head. Aroma of citrussy hops, especially mandarin, also some catty hints, and some crystal malts. Smooth mouthfeel, moderate carbonation in the glass. The lightly sweet flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout, with a grapefruity bitterness, also hints of pine needles.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg @ Victorian Craft Beer Café, Halifax. Amber with a small glow and a thin head. Had a noticeable strength but there’s plenty of tropical fruits to be found in its taste, and even more in its aroma.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home. Big floral waft opening the bottle. Pours dark gold with frothy persistent head. Nice balance of hops/citrus/floral notes on initial mouthful, persisting bitterness. Really dry (this is a good thing). I’ve had it on keg before when it was outstanding. It’s less immediate in bottle. A really good IPA, but for me the Ace Edge edges it (sorry).

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home. Pale orange colour with a thin white head. Extremely powerful aroma of hop: nettles, pine and resinous. The aroma is so strong it almost makes the eyes water! Taste is slightly sweet to start, then very bitter indeed. Nice flavours of orange fruit amongst the sappy malt. Very long, dry finish and slightly sticky. An interesting beer, but probably too hoppy for me. One for the hopheads.

Bottleshare @ Rekviums Pizza Palace, Odense C. My fifteen thousand party bash. Pours hazy golden with a small creamy head. Citrus, grass and bread. Quite stale as it warms. 9 months old .. I don’t know why Buxton wanna give their beers 12 months BB. A shame.
