Axe Edge, our 6.8% IPA is our flagship ale, our most decorated in terms of awards won, and probably our most talked-about beer. It’s an English take on the American style of IPA - Big, bold and hoppy. The flavours are simple - it’s full of tropical fruit notes, and the aromas are fresh and vibrant. There’s a lot of malt character in there too, and its rather bitter and refereshing. We think it’s delicious, hope you do to.

Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2012. Pours a clear and light golden beer with a white head. The aroma is malt and hops with melon and peach. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is bitterness. Overall a good beer.

500ml bottle from the Euston Tap. Muddy brown with lot of sediment, not much head. Tropical fruit & hop aroma. Sweet tropical fruit, resin & hop flavour. Well balanced & smooth with sweet aftertaste. Just a pity it looks disappointing. Would like to try the cask version.

From cask @ Borefts 2012. This is a blurry golden-honey colored one with a small bubbly just off white top. Smells really fresh and fruity. Lots of peaches and sweet fruits. Light grassy and quite good. Soft - almost flat on the carbonation. Fruity flavors. Really tasty! Melon sweetness with a light dry finish. Woody as well. Light drinkable - one of those I could drink lots and lotsof! 30.09.2012

Countbeer (2861) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 7, 2012
Draught @BBF’12: Light and pretty small white head changes quick into a lacing on top of an almost clear yellow orange colored beer. Smell is another fruity mix: lot of hop fruits, exotic fruits, pine apple, passion fruits, apricot, hops and a slight hint of barley malts. Taste is a bit weak but has some nice hop flavours like the bitterness and fruits, citrus, cactus, peach, some malts and barleys, floral a herbal malts and herbs. Aftertaste is typical hop bitters with some hop fruits and malty flower tones. Low carbo, soft watery mouthfeel, medium body and a watery texture. Ok IPA, bit on the thin side...
