4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330 ml bottle from Ales by Mail, bottled 16/06/2014.
Clear, amber body, with a big, creamy, white head.
Aroma of citrus, lots of tropical fruits, resin and also smooth malts like caramel and biscuit.
Taste follows this and adds pine and some grass.
Mouthfeel is medium, slick, with a medium carbonation.
Finishes bitter and dry, with lemon zest and pine.
Tasty! Not the most unique IPA, but everything you want from it, with lots of fruity and also piney hops and a great, smooth malt backbone, all in a perfect balance. One of the best British IPAs I’ve had so far!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The most Yankee IPA from across the pond I have had, this lil’ beaut has some piney, resiny dank to her. Whelming notes of massive hops plus a biscuit backbone mark the nose on this bitter beast. Although extremely tasty I don’t find it overly complex; this is a straight for the throat jaguar of bitterness. Hazy copper with a rich off-white head, this bomb sports mid-low carbonation, a lightly oily medium body and is a straight up good IPA’n time.
