Axe Edge, our 6.8% IPA is our flagship ale, our most decorated in terms of awards won, and probably our most talked-about beer. It’s an English take on the American style of IPA - Big, bold and hoppy. The flavours are simple - it’s full of tropical fruit notes, and the aromas are fresh and vibrant. There’s a lot of malt character in there too, and its rather bitter and refereshing. We think it’s delicious, hope you do to.

Bottle @ Papsø. Golden orange, a touch hazy appearance with an off white head. Somewhat resiny, floral/potpourri, grapefruit hoppy, fairly intense aroma. Really rich grapefruit, mango fruity, a bit chewy resiny, somewhat toasty malty flavor with a somewhat bitter finish. Pretty intense but nice.

Pour from bottle. Bright orange, thin white head.Good lacing. Smell of rich tropical fruits. Taste of tropical and citrus fruits. Strong mango characteristic. Hops linger on the back of the palate and fade away artfully. Real smooth mouthfeel, great drinking. Probably a top ten IPA for me.

Bottle conditioned, accidentally got some yeast in the glass, so it looks a murky brown/orange colour with a frothy, off-white head. Smell of hops, citrus fruit and grapefruit. Sweet tasting, again with the citrus and hops at the front, a nice bitter finish, decent body to the beer, great feel in the mouth. A stunning beer, one of the better IPAs I’ve tried.

A fantastic double IPA. enjoyed it at the Euston tap in London. pours a nice dark bronze color, with a short bubbly head. Intense pungent nose, all pine cones, lemon zest and hay. taste is more complex- . Initially it seems mellow and a fairly standard pale ale but the hop flavor intensifies and you get a mouthful of. .grapefruit and citrus.A surprisingly smooth yet potent IPA. a must try for fans pgf big hops.

Bottle from Utobeer. Colour is hazy rusty amber, white head. Nose is big kick of grapefruit, Nelson Sauvin earthiness, pine, marmalade, oranges, caramel. Taste is bitter, pine, caramel and marmalade. Nice tang of leafy green hops. Good robust sweet malt. Yep. this is decent.

Cask at North Bar, Leeds. Pours a slightly murky red-brown-orange, finger of head with nice retention. Aroma is juicy, resinous, grassy HOPS. Many, many hops. Taste is very hoppy too, with a lot of pine and a woody character too. Comes in phases - malt base cones first, balanced out by a big, yet not overly brash hop hit towards the finish. Full body, long finish. ’Tis good.
