COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Keg & Bottle Conditioned; Regular. Has been seen on Cask.

Our full flavoured, strong India Pale Ale. Now hopped with Amarillo, Citra and Nelson Sauvin. This beer has a pale straw-amber body, and pours with a full creamy head. Its complex flavours include mandarin orange, schnapps, pineapple, and juicy tropical fruits. It is warmingly alcoholic with a dry finish.

September 15, 2014 - at The Pelt Trader; on cask. (at least I assume this was cask - hard to tell here; gravity, I think). Hazy fairly deep brassy gold with a lovely long-lasting thick off-white creamy/fluffy head. Smells of light tropical fruit and soft grassy bitterness - very low alcohol presence, Taste is fruity and delicate - plenty of tropical and tree fruit, but not overly sweet; juicy, not much bitterness, what there is would seem to be more floral than anything else - solid maltiness, and the alcohol is definitely present more in the taste than the aroma (8-). Average body, but the mouthfeel is spot on - not super carbonated, but quite lively with a light bit of acidity making it even more interesting - it seems to finish quickly, but as you work down the glass, it develops surprising bitterness, and the citra/nelson pungency finally emerges as it warms up. Just a lovely pint.

Pours cloudy gold with a huge, frothy head. Aroma is chock full of grapefruit and other citrus notes. Taste is a lovely sweet citrus finished with a nice bitter finish.

Light orange, average frothy head. Fruity hops, very light pine. Medium sweet with a controlled bitterness. Average carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Very fresh fruity ipa

My Bottom Line:
Oranges and pine needles float within this IPA’s fluffy mouthfeel, leading to resinous bitterness, light honey and lots of pleasure.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A lofty mushroom-type head of foam settles atop the hazy orange.
-Hops are also floral around the edges.
-This is very much in the tradition of a West Coast-style IPA. And a very good one at that.
-The airy mouthfeel and fragrant hoppiness make for great drinkability.

Bottle.

Bottle. Aromas of grapefuit, tropical fruits, lychee and mandarin. Lots of fruity flavours, citrus and orange with a bit of bitterness. Everything you’d expect from a modern ipa but just a little bit more. Excellent.
