Bottled. A dark brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, hops, and bread, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Bottle @ Papsø. Hazy brownish orange appearance with a cream colored head. Pretty piney, herbal, somewhat spicy hoppy aroma. Somewhat thick resiny, a touch dank, slightly chewy flavor. Pretty tasty.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Clear dark brown with a reddish hue and a creamy beige head. Very fresh citrusy hops in the nose. Medium body, roasty, dark fruits and loads of great aroma hops leaving a rather bitter finish. 140712

500ml bottle. More reddish brown than black. A big golden head forms in the glass. Aroma is well balanced between the roasted and chocolatey malts and the hops, but it feels muted. Tastes OK, with some liquorice and blackcurrant elements floating around, but quite indistinct and not very exciting. Ends with mild bitterness. Decent effort, but fell short of my expectations.

Deep black, keeps its head really well. Burnt malt on the tongue gives way to a big hit of bitter hops in the finish, with a hint of chocolate. Had in Euston Tap, unfortunately had to rush it down a bit before catching a train, instead of savouring it. Great beer.
