3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 DruncanVeasey (6114) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 25, 2011
BC from the brewery. Pours straw, corkscrewing with fizz under a dense white foam. Attractive, botanical and jammy fruit on the nose with notes of lemon rind, gooseberry, matchbox, grass and flowers. Bright, excitable GA with a floral, lemongrass and lime hop character easing into an oatmeal, biscuit softness. Some dry bite to the finish. Nothing stunning but the kind of refreshing, zesty stuff I’d happily sink a few of on a hot summer’s day.

Tasted at the 5 lamps derby, thoroughly average and disappointing beer after tasting other beers by this brewery, lacks flavour and aroma.

I loved this beer. Complex flavours. Sweet aroma with a good head. Medium body and a creamy texture. I drank this from the bottle. It has travelled well.

Cask, handpump at The Smithfield, Derby, Derbyshire 06.11.10 This pours mid gold with a white rim for a head and a light film. Described as a continental style beer, I considered it to be a fairly safe but tasty enough golden beer, some light citrus fruitiness, bitter and drying at the end. A6 A4 T6 P4 Ov13 3.3

Cask Stillage at Edgeley Park, Stockport 04/06/2010
Floral hop aroma. Golden coloured a little sweet on the palate and hoppy with a hint of dryness and bitterness in a lasting malt finish.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 downender (5187) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 28, 2009
Shown against Leek on the basis of messages posted on Scoopgen. Golden in colour with a slight white head. Aroma of sweet cereals, apricots and grassy hops. Flavour had some diacetyl, grains and fruit, with a decent bitter finish. Ok.
