500ml bottle. crystalline, salty, sugary orange and melon nose with hints of rhubarb and bitter green ripe hop notes. the body is similar, strongly hopped with a lot of alpha acids. toasty malt and chalky / powdery yeast with some faint dark malt accent. silky carbonation with a medium-light body. bright orange juice and ice cream hop / yeast play, highly bitter for the sugar level. hints of oxidation onset with the finish becoming a little too sweet limit it from being an upper-3 experience.

Bottle at home 12th August 2012. Pours to form a rich brown red pint, good head, aroma is not over welming. Taste is pleasant, caramel comes through on the finish, pretty much as it promises. I prefer the more hoppy offerings from Buxton
