Pours almost black with a solid tan head. Aroma is standard dark malt combination of coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is moderate sweet, a bit sour, unexpectedly smooth. I was captivated by the aftertaste - long, lingering on the palate coffee, dark chocolate and roasted grain with gentle bitterness in the background. I am not an aficionado of dry stouts but I must admit that this one is really good and enjoyable.
