NOTE: The recipe for this beer changed significantly in 2011.

A light, refreshing, hoppy pale ale. A showcase for the incredibly aromatic North American hop – Citra. It has a lovely citrus aroma, with juicy fruit flavours in the mouth. Medium bitterness.

Promossa

Golden ale perfectly in style: low-medium body; medium bitterness (about on 35 IBU); surely hop-oriented, it has aromas mainly of exotic fruits and slightly citric but with a strong herbaceous and earthy base on a dry and clean finish. The low alcohol content (4.1%) makes it pleasant and invigorating without any collateral effects. The balance between the flavors makes the palate pleased but letting you slightly unsatisfied, just a little bit, which is a virtue: not cloying, not too watery. Taken when I was about to collapse from the heat, I am not exaggerating when I say it brought me back to life. Perfect for your seaside holidays as to the mountains. Highly recommended to all. Consigliatissima a tutti.

Draught. Light hazy light golden liquid with medium white head. Aroma of citrus, grain, floral hops, light earth, light bread and grapefruit. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with notes of citrus, light pine, fresh hops and light grain. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Really nicely drinkable and hoppy.

4.1%ABV. Blond Ale. Tapped out at 6ºSRM. Light gold and slightly hazy. Looked inviting when it formed a lightly opaque frost on the glass. No head out of the tap with some large foamy bubbles in a thin white head. Nose was bold and abrasively full of pine, yellow grapefruit and citrus. Mouthfeel was full of aggressive carbonation layered nicely over a big-boned skeleton of good quality pale malts. Bitter hop balanced with not just any hops, but Buxton axe edge bitter hops. Nice....but not enough to make the favorites list. Good Job, Buxton!

Not bad. Lightly bitter, medium bodied and a little carbonated. Grassy, piney, citrusy aroma from the hops.

[Draught at In de Wildeman, Amsterdam, May 16] 10th rating of my Paris/Amsterdam trip. Pours a cloudy pale gold with an average size semi-lasting frothy white head. Good amount of lacing. Aroma of citrusy, fruity hops along with bready malt, paper and light vegetal notes. Flavour is bready, hoppy and papery and is a bit harsh/astringent Average bitter finish. Average bodied. Just O.K.
